The assignment was to pick pieces of furniture out of magazines and create rooms with certain color schemes and with different needs in each room. In both these rooms I would hope for them to be a lot more open then they appear. Both these rooms have windows so that they get a lot of natural light into the room. In the dinning room a form of repetition is how the rug, draperies, and lamp shades all have the woven look in it. In the living room there are many different shapes and sizes that are going to allow the eye to flow through out the room looking at everything. The coffee table in the living room would be turned so that the long side is align with the middle of the couch. The color scheme in the dinning room is a light green with brown. The living room doesn't really have a color scheme but it could be blue and white. The hardest part was trying to find certain pieces that I needed in my room because a lot of the things either didn't match my color scheme or there wasn't really anything at all. the easiest part was once I found all the pieces I needed I just had to glue them in place where they were supposed to go. I pick these to pieces because I liked these two the most and they were my more organized and better looking ones. I would have taken a little more time to put things in the right place then just randomly putting them on the paper.
